3 Common Distractions Bloggers Should Avoid

3 Distractions Bloggers Should AvoidBloggers always need high level of determination and concentration to achieve their ultimate success in blogging. However, bloggers have to go through many unwanted distractions because most of the blogging from home.

Let’s say if you’re in a working environment, you will have least chances to get distracted by any means because there is someone superior watching all your activities and will evaluate your productivity. However, most of the bloggers out there are individuals working from home and there is no one to supervise them and they will be on their own.

When such situation occurs, there will be higher possibilities for bloggers to get distracted to many unwanted activities. Most of the people have a perception where, bloggers are always free and have excess of time to do other jobs than blogging.

But…

I doubt that any blogger is just sitting around and looking at the wall… From my personal experience bloggers need to be hardworking, dedicated, confident, and self-motivated to achieve their success unlike other working individuals working on 9-5 routine.

Rather than just getting this post lengthier… Let’s get down to the 6 distractions Bloggers should avoid in their blogging journey…

Social Media Addiction

Facebook…

Facebook…..

Facebook……

I would like to make a confession here…  I was a serious Facebook addict when I started my blogging carrier. I would just spend hours on Facebook, and at the end of the day when I think back what I had done the whole day, I’ll outrage and deactivate my Facebook account. But, it will get reactivated the next day….

Funny right…:p

Social Media Networks plays a big role in bloggers life as it brings in more benefits if you utilize them the right way. I started using Facebook and Twitter as a part of blogging because it increase the social media interaction within your blog.

More people going to visit your blog this way…

Gaming Addiction

I’m not sure whether most bloggers are addicted to Games. However, most of the Internet Marketers and bloggers that I know are gaming freaks. For most of the bloggers gaming seems to be one of the most disastrous distractions which stop you from blogging effectively.

I usually spend around 2 to 3 hours playing game daily and there is just one game I love playing which make me learn lots of new thing… Yes millions of people all around the world playing the game League of Legends

I always schedule my gaming time during my breaks once I have done with my daily blogging tasks. Gaming keeps me motivated and concentrated…

So never get addicted to gaming and neglect your blogging tasks… Just schedule your daily routine the right way…

Relationship/Love Distraction…

One of the most interesting distractions of all time… hehehe…

Relationship is one of the most common distractions that can ruin your daily routine.. I’m pretty sure most of the bloggers out here having relationship…

Just try this out and let me know what happens…. Concentrate in your blogging work for the whole day and ignore your partner/lovers calls, messages, Facebook messages…

Than just wait and see what happens the next day…? If you have a girlfriend/boyfriend like mine you shouldn’t be having any sort of problem because he/she understands my situation and what I do…

If your partner doesn’t know anything and just thinking you’re just sitting at home with the name working from home…

You’re finished the next day…

I’m not telling you not to spend time with your partner/lover… But, just determine which comes first in your life and what is going to push you to success…

Concentrate more on your blogging career…

There are way more distractions killing bloggers each and every day. However, such distractions can be avoided with the right mind set, concentration, determination, self-confidence and self-motivation.

Please do share with us your common distraction when you blog and the steps you have taken to avoid them…

  • Working at home as an internet marketer or an affiliate can now become an option to earn money. It is really flexible and able to do anytime as we like. It depends on us how we will manage our time wisely and make schedule in such a way that we can be consistent in keeping serious to take this as a job like another job which needs professionality. But here there is no employer or employee because it is done fully by ourselves. Therefore there are also some distractions the bloggers must face and overcome because they work and are responsible for themselves. They do not depend on others. This work is really free and independent. And the consistency is really of importance if we want to be success in blogging. Thank you for sharing this for subject of a good discussion.

  • Hey Conor,
Distraction is really killing so many of us. Facebook is one big distractor. Without a strict schedule, you will find yourself moving from one thing to the other and not being productive.

I’m not that game type but recently, my mobile phone games is beginning to steal part of my time.

Relationship? I’m glad I can manage that properly with my wife.

Facebook still remains the biggest distraction but I’m able to handle it .

Hope you have a nice weekend

  • Hi Conor,

I hardly go on Facebook, but twitter is my distraction and checking my emails. I think the best way of getting over all these distraction is to be focused. We should always remind ourselves the reason why we start blogging or start home business in the first place, may be that can re-purpose our ways of doing things and keep to schedules.
